Dates

The Hackathon for Social Good will be held on November 29.
All projects must be created during the 8 hour in person hackathon.
Participants may ideate before the event but cannot write code before the official start time.
All submissions must be uploaded to Devpost before the deadline announced during the event.

Eligibility

Open to students, innovators, developers, and changemakers from Kerala and beyond.
Teams must consist of one to five members.
Participants may join the event until 12:30 PM on the hackathon day.
Hybrid participation is allowed but only in person teams are guaranteed presentation slots.

Project and Submission Requirements

All work must be created during the event window.
Teams must submit their project on Devpost with title, description, explanation, theme, screenshots or demo, and a link to the code repository.
Online participants must upload a four minute presentation video.
Prototypes, mockups, design models, simulations, or conceptual solutions are acceptable.
Teams may merge, split, or collaborate if they choose.
A project does not need to be fully complete but must clearly demonstrate the concept.

Prizes

First Prize is fifteen thousand rupees
Second Prize is ten thousand rupees
Third Prize is five thousand rupees
Category recognitions will be announced during the event
Certificates will be provided to all participants

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Judging will take place in two rounds.
Round one is an on floor evaluation by mentors or jury members.
Round two is the product pitch where teams present their project.
If the number of teams is high, fifteen teams will be shortlisted based on the first round.
Final winners will be selected based on the following criteria

Theme and Social Impact, thirty five percent
Technical Quality and Usability, thirty percent
Creativity and Storytelling, twenty percent
Presentation and Teamwork, fifteen percent
Bonus points for projects guided by ethical principles such as justice, modesty, and truthfulness
